Course presentation (FOR PhD course/Specialisation school ONLY)

The PhD in Molecular and Regenerative Medicine was established with the aim of providing a highly qualified preparation in the field of biomedicine applied to the study of molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying 1) the processes of differentiation of epithelial and hematopoietic stem cells and 2) human diseases with particular reference to rare, inflammatory and onco-hematological genetic pathologies. In this context, particular attention is paid to the multiple application aspects of research for diagnostic, therapeutic and regenerative purposes.

The multidisciplinary and international composition of the teaching board allows PhD students, for the development of their project activity, to learn the application purposes of diversified but complementary methodological approaches (cell biology, molecular biology, structural and computational biology, genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, bioinformatics, biosensor and nanotechnologies), to benefit from a close integration and synergy between basic research and clinical research and to be able to deepen and develop their skills through laboratory experiences in other foreign academic and business contexts thanks to the collaboration with spin-offs and start-ups.
